Biography

Lana Zorjan was born on 17. 09. 2008. In Belgrade, Serbia. She started playing violin when she was 4 years old, and started competing one year later. Until now Lana has won over 40 first prizes at international and Serbian state competitions. Most notable ones are:
– “Josef Micka” international competition 2020. Prague, Czech Republic – First prize, winner of category and winner of special prize “Josef Micka”;
– “44th international violin competition prof. Nadalka Simeonova” 2019. Bulgaria – First prize;
– “Tartini” 2018. Piran, Slovenia – first prize 100 points, winner of category and reward for most perspective young violinist of competition;
– “Franjo Krezma” 2019. Croatia – first prize and special prize of Spivakov foundation;
– “Grand Prize Virtuoso Vienna“ 2016. Austria – first prize;
– “Ohrid Pearls” 2016. Macedonia – first prize;
– “4th international competition Oskar Rieding” 2020. Slovenia – gold award and special prize Oskar Rieding;
– “International music competition” 2020. Croatia – absolute first prize;
– “Constantine the Great” international competition Serbia – Laureate;
– “Art of strings by Lazar Miletic” 2018. Serbia – special prize 100 points;
– “International festival of Slavic music” 2020. Belgrade, Serbia – Special prize for most perspective violinist of competition, and special prize for the best interpretation of Slavic composer;
– “Sonus op.2” 2016. Croatia – special first prize 100 points;
– “Primavera” 2017 and 2018. Bosnia special first prize 100 points;
– Serbian state competition 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 first prizes, and she won title of laureate in 2016, 2017 and 2019;
– “International festival of Slavic music” 2018. Belgrade, Serbia – first prize;
– “Petar Konjovic international competition” 2017, 2019 Belgrade, Serbia – first prize;
– “Fantast international competition ” 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018. Serbia – special prize 100 points;
– “Karlovci International competition” 2017, 2018, 2019. Serbia – special first prize 100 points;
– “International competition Niš” 2015, 2017. Serbia – special prize 100 points;
– Lana received Serbian state “Vidovdan” prize of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and “Talents” prize in 2016, 2018 and 2019;

She regularly has classes with professor from Faculty of Music in Belgrade Ivana Aćimoski – Žikić. She performed in Musikverein, Vienna in a concert of selected winners of “Grand Prize Virtuoso” international competition. As winner of Spivakov foundation prize she performed at festival “Moscow meet friends” at Alexander Shilov gallery. As a soloist she performed with “Zrenjanin chamber orchestra” in Belgrade city hall, Novi Sad city hall and Zrenjanin. As a soloist of “Art link orchestra” and “Master art academy orchestra” Lana performed at US Ambassadors residence in Belgrade, “Ilija Kolarac concert hall”, Belgrade city hall and Freedom square in Novi Sad. She performed at 2018 New Year concert as a youngest soloist of Vojvodina Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. Lana is playing on a violin of collector from Belgrade Uroš Žikić.
