Biography

Born in 2008, Lana has been playing the violin since the age of four. She is a prizewinner of many competitions around the globe and has had over 300 concerts and television appearances. In January of 2024, Lana became a winner of the prestigious Discovery Award of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) which led to her debut in Spain accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of Valencia on the ICMA Gala Concert.

Zorjan is a student of professor Stefan Milenkovich at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. Besides her studies in Serbia, she is also a scholarship holder at the Musikakademie in Liechtenstein and regularly takes part in the Intensive Weeks, concerts and other events offered by the academy. 

She has performed a couple dozen concerts as a soloist with orchestral such as Symphony Orchestra of Valencia, Malagà Philharmonic Orchestra, Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Serbian National Theatre and others.

Lana performed with conductors such as Alexander Liebreich, Guillermo Garcia Calvo, Tomaš Brauner, Toshifumi Kanai, Jose Maria Moreno Valiente, Maximilian Haberstock, Janos Kovacs, Pavel  Doležal, Srboljub Dinić, Aleksandar Kojić and others.

On her musical path, she has participated in masterclasses of professor Zakhar Bron, Pavel Vernikov, Ingolf Turban, Latica Honda – Rosenberg, Lihay Bendayan, Stefan Milenkovich and Pavel Šporcl.

Lana plays on a violin of Laurentius (Lorenzo) Bellafontana (Italy, 1952) kindly loaned by the Foundation “Musik und Jugend”.

– 2024. ICMA Award winners Gala concert with Orquesta di Valencia and Maestro Alexander Liebreich at “Palau di Musica” in Valencia, Spain.

– Open-air Grand Opening of the 2024 Kaleidoscope of Culture with Vojvodina Symphony orchestra and maestro Maximilian Haberstock in front of nearly ten thousand people 

– Concert tour with Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra and maestro Jose Maria Moreno Valiente in April of 2025

– Concert with the Valencia Symphony Orchestra at Palau de la Musica with Maestro Guillermo Garcia Calvo

– Gala Evenings in Liechtenstein: New Year’s concert 2023 and “Highlights of Classical Music” 2024. Academy of Musical Talents Liechtenstein, Gala of VP Bank, as well as Resident Concerts 2023, 2024 and 2025 at the Academy.

On Lana’s musical and artistic development, the biggest positive impact had Professors: Stefan Milenkovich, Ivana Aćimoski-Žikić,  Imre Lakatoš, Zakhar Bron and Latica Honda – Rosenberg.
She attends intensive-week with eminent violin professors at “Academy of Music in Liechtenstein” 

She has appeared on various radio and television programs and channels: “The Violin Channel” (New York, USA), Deutsche Welle (Germany).

Lana speaks fluent English and is learning 5 languages. She loves animals, dance, yoga and contortion, to play with her cats and make handmade toys for them. Lana has perfect pitch and she loves to compose because of it. Every melody she hears in her head, she can immediately write down and play. She also loves to draw, make hand crafts and crochet. Lana often spends time in the nature and is active on social media, talking to her friends from all around the world. Lana has a little sister who she loves to babysit and teach her new things.
